• Fluclotizolam

A derivative of Etizolam. There are conflicting reports on its dosage, though claims have been made that it is approximately 3x the potency of Etizolam, with a shorter half-life.

Fluclotizolam is a thienotriazolodiazepine derivative which was first synthesised in 1979, but was never marketed. It has subsequently been sold as a designer drug, first being definitively identified in 2017.

Background: I have personal benzo(thieno)diazepine experience with etizolam, flubromazolam, phenazepam, clonazolam, and norflurazepam. My benzodiazepine usage is sparse, maybe once every 3-4 days. I do this to keep myself from building tolerance and dependence to the substances. The fluclotizolam in my possession is in the form of 0.5mg powder. To preface the experience report, I was clean off all substances with the exception of caffeine and marijuana for the week before my first time taking fluclotizolam. Now, onto the report.

Experience: Put the powder on my tongue. Immediately felt a chilling, numbing sensation on my tongue where the powder was. About 5 minutes after taking it the taste/feeling was starting to weird me out so I took a swig of water and swallowed the tab. Decided to take my dog for a walk while waiting for the effects to come on. 10 minutes later, while walking, I felt a strong wave of calmness wash over me. All anxiety I had from the taste of this chem had dissipated and I started to feel very sedated. Started walking a bit slower, stumbled a little bit, but was very enjoyable. I returned home from the walk, turned on my Xbox and started playing Destiny 2. Had a great time talking to people while playing, something I don't normally do but it just felt right at the time. Ended up playing for about 3 hours straight, not even realizing how fast the day was going by. About 4 hours after dosing, I started to feel particularly tired, and switched to Netflix to watch the new season of BoJack Horseman and was knocked out before the first episode finished. To be honest, I didn't remember anything about the episode when I woke up, which was when my roommate returned from closing his store to me sprawled out on the couch. Had no problem moving to bed and returning to sleep the rest of the night. May have had some residual effects in the morning of the next day, but may have been a placebo effect, will take note during my next experiment with this substance.

Final Thoughts: The experience, overall, was quite enjoyable and I would put it with more recreational benzos like flubromazolam and clonazolam than with etizolam, which I like to use for situational anxiety and panic attacks, or phenazepam, which I find one of the most functional benzos I've tried for all-day anxiety relief. The fluclotizolam completely eliminated my anxiety; put me in a euphoric, sedated space; provided enough dis-inhibition to break out of my shell; and helped me to get to sleep earlier than I normally would have.
