Isotonitazepyne (N-pyrrolidino isotonitazene) is a benzimidazole derivative with potent opioid effects, which has been sold as a designer drug over the internet. It was first detected in Russia in 2022, and has since been found around the world, tentatively identified in New Zealand in 2023 though it can be difficult to distinguish from the isomeric compound protonitazepyne
